What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. When you use ShortEdge, we store the content you generate (scripts, metadata, voiceover files) and basic usage data (generation counts, timestamps) to provide the service.

How we use your data

• To provide and improve the ShortEdge service
• To manage your account and subscription
• To send transactional emails (password resets, billing receipts)
• To monitor service health and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Third-party services

ShortEdge uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles all card data directly; we never store card numbers.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI script generation. Prompts and generated scripts are sent to and from Anthropic's API.
• ElevenLabs — AI voiceover generation. Script text is sent to ElevenLabs to produce audio files.
• Google (Imagen) — AI image generation. Visual prompts are sent to Google's API to produce storyboard images.
• Sentry — error monitoring (if enabled). Collects anonymized error reports to help us fix bugs.

Data retention

Your generated content is stored as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed within 30 days.

Cookies

ShortEdge uses a JWT token stored in your browser's localStorage for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
